First things by the look of it it’s beautiful. The ambience is cozy and calm. Not the quietest of all but quite enough to not talk loudly to the members of the table. The staff is courteous.

I really enjoy getting some food there when I’m near Pike Place Market and I always referr this place to everyone. Four stars is being generous. There is a huge steamer in front of him if he did not want to be bothered making a new one. Food was ok, stars, 3 being generous. The fact that this place is hidden is kind of cool which contributed to the four stars! Recommended by someone and 4 out of 5 are vegan!
Is that spicy beef noodle? The soup was not enough boiled and also almost no soup. It was totally different from the picture that they taken in the shop showing. The noodle was also thick and not enough cooked.

So many delicious dishes it was hard to decide on which ones to get, but everything we got was delicious. Nice full menu with appetizers and side dishes and lots of meat and seafood and veggie dishes plus rice and noodles dishes and dessert and beverage options as well. Also like the cozy cute interior with little dividers so each table space had more privacy.
Clean and Covid friendly with auto temperature taking machine at entrance. Friendly waitstaff. Short: The dishes were expensive, extremely salty. Long: Salty. Like kidney stones salty. I never complained in a restaurant and had food sent back. It wasn’t even a choice, I gave them a second chance. It was better, still super salty on the second try. The server was really nice about it. So one star for the service, and one star for the well lit atmosphere, and tables were clean.

My girlfriend didn’t enjoy her food so much but probably was the traveling. Thai the was so good. Great Japanese food enthralls the world with its detailed dominance of seemingly simple preparations. Earthy, chewy, exquisite when topped with seaweed, garlic-chili oil, and a sous vide egg, or duck breast and leeks, or butter scallops, or vegetable curry and mozzarella cheese, this nutty pasta inspires and satisfies.

We decided to try this restaurant based on the stellar reviews and also to see our friend Tomo who works in the kitchen. Marination Ma Kai has an outdoor patio but to really sit waterfront, you just use one of the public picnic tables. The food was good, hearty and tasty. I had a Loco Moco beef patty with two sunny side up eggs on gravy and white rice , which is flavorful but a little bit on the small side for a real meal.
